Michael Twardy started out as a scenic designer in New York before finding his way to Los Angeles. Over several years, he rose through the ranks of television production, learning more each day as well as building a strong network of creative individuals and talented execs.
His national commercial credits range from Coca-Cola to The U.S. Army, and he has produced content for a variety of cable television networks, including The History Channel, Discovery Channel, HGTV, Court TV (truTV), and The Sci-Fi Channel (SyFy).
It was on the set of a Scripps show in L.A. that he met his wonderful wife. She was from Knoxville, which is where they got married. They both decided that it was time to say goodbye to California and move back East.
Michael's work in Knoxville took him into doing more corporate and education based video work, as well as producing a large variety of web-based video content for local companies such as PetSafe, Invisible Fence, Clayton Homes, and ORAU. Recent government work includes a series of 12 videos for the Department of Energy as part of their efforts to preserve the history of the Manhattan Project in Oak Ridge, TN.
Another web-based program Michael had the privilege of working on was MySpace Music's Front to Back program featuring Eminem's album release concert for Relapse.
Recent television work includes the
White House Christmas Special 2010 (Bronze Telly Award) and
Green Home Giveaway 2011 (Environmental Media Award) for HGTV,
Sons of Guns for Discovery, and
Tennessee Shines for NBC affiliate WBIR (Regional Emmy Award).
